Haul: Mileage & Sales is a mobile application built for resellers and self-employed workers to find yard sales, track business mileage, scan receipts, and look up resale prices. It is developed and maintained by DataForge Systems LLC.
Here is the complete list of data Haul collects:
When you use the Scan Sale Info or Flip Check features, your photo is sent securely over HTTPS to our Supabase Edge Function, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude AI API for processing. The result is returned to your device and displayed. The image is not stored by Haul or on any server we control.
When you scan a receipt, the image is processed locally on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Receipt photos you choose to save are stored locally on your device only.
Anthropic processes images solely to generate the requested response. Their data handling is governed by the Anthropic Privacy Policy.
When you use the Generate Listing feature, your item details and photos are sent securely over HTTPS to our Supabase Edge Function, which forwards them to Anthropic's Claude AI API to generate an eBay listing title, description, and category suggestions. The generated content is returned to your device. Item details are not stored on any server we control.
If you choose to connect your eBay account, Haul uses eBay's OAuth authentication to securely link your account. Your eBay OAuth tokens are stored in our Supabase database so the app can post listings and check sales on your behalf. We never see or store your eBay password — only the OAuth tokens that eBay provides. You can disconnect your eBay account at any time from within the app, which deletes your stored tokens from our database.
Haul requests "Always On" location permission so it can detect trips automatically in the background while you drive. This is the core feature of the app — without it, you would need to manually start and stop every trip.
Your location data is used exclusively to:
Your location history is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to any server, sold, or shared.
You can revoke location permission at any time in your iPhone Settings. The app will still work for manual trip logging and sale browsing, but automatic trip detection will be disabled.
Haul includes a crowdsourced map of yard sales submitted by users. When you submit a sale, the listing details are stored in our database (hosted by Supabase) and are visible to all Haul users. Sale submissions are associated with an anonymous ID only — your name and personal information are never attached to a listing.
You can request deletion of any sale you submitted by contacting us at the email below.
Haul uses Sentry to capture crash reports, app hangs, and other diagnostic data (such as anonymous session counts and stack traces from errors). This helps us identify and fix bugs faster.
The data sent is anonymous — no name, email, IP address, or any identifier that links to you personally. We do not use Sentry for analytics, tracking, or advertising.
You can read Sentry's privacy practices in the Sentry Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment information. All billing is managed through your Apple ID.
All trip, expense, and receipt data is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app permanently deletes all of this data.
Anonymous user IDs and any sale listings you submitted to our community database can be deleted by contacting us at the email address below.
Haul is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
